NO-BREAK KS for Global SwitchEURO-DIESEL SA has recently been awarded its largest order since  being in existence:   GLOBAL SWITCH  has signed for 26 NO-BREAK KS® DRUPS (Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply)  to be installed in an Internet Data Centre (IDC) in London.

Internet Data Centres, also commonly called “Internet Hotels” are large buildings in which numerous computers are installed and used for hosting websites, e-commerce activities or telecommunication applications. They require a constant supply of quality power and must be protected against any power failure.

The GLOBAL SWITCH building is due for commissioning in December and the NO-BREAK KS® systems are to be delivered this autumn.

The 12 units of NO-BREAK KS®5-SB systems are the most modern units in the product range and the largest available  units in the market of the time.  They are rated at high voltage (12 kV) and are of dual output type, which means that in case of mains disruption, each machine will instantly deliver 1750 kVA to protect the critical loads and an additional 250 kVA will be available within a few seconds for the essential loads. Therefore, each machine has a total capacity of 2000 kVA when operating in Conditioning Mode.

More systems (up to 26 units) are expected to follow in the coming years.

Similarly, REDBUS Interhouse, have selected EURO-DIESEL as their supplier for a set of 6 units of the same type (dual output) of 1250/2000 kVA. They are due for delivery in September this year.

In both cases, the english subsidiary of EURO-DIESEL, based Cirencester, is in-charge of installation and maintenance of the systems.
