Continuous Power Supply (CPS) A continuous power supply (CPS) system is a device that is capable of providing a continuous and high quality power supply to a critical load irrespective of aberrations that can appear on the mains (spikes, harmonics, switching pulses, micro cuts, etc…) and to ensure a long term supply of energy in case of a mains outage. This must of course happen without the slightest interruption to the critical load protected. There are different continuous power supply technologies on offer today to solve the problems linked with continuity of power supply.
